When first starting out in the label printing business, we had one simple goal – to build a reputation for superior service and quality results.
Since then we have been preparing, printing, applying and distributing first-rate labels throughout the country. With this history of great work and happy clients it’s safe to say we’ve achieved our goal. However we know a good reputation isn’t something you achieve then forget about. You need to work hard and stick with it.
As one of New Zealand’s oldest label printing companies our continued focus on innovation and improvement has ensured new products and processes. More recently, it’s resulted in the successful merger of two industry-leading companies – Kiwi Labels and Mark-It Labels.
In 1976 Kiwi Labels first began printing. From then we’ve gathered experience, honed our service and continuously evolving our technology and capabilities so as to best serve our customers.
From Heathcote, Christchurch, the Kiwi Labels division of our company has over 30 dedicated professionals and an incredible knowledge base to draw from.
The combined skill of our team, and their readiness to put in the extra thinking to work around any potential challenge, is a huge benefit for our customers. It is why we take pride in assisting not only for label supply, but also in capital expenditure decisions, plant design and process control solutions, adding value to each and every label.
In 1997 Mark-It Labels opened for business. The company quickly grew to service clients throughout New Zealand, designing and manufacturing labels with service provided from teams based in both the North and the South Island.
For decades now Mark-It Labels has delivered a well-balanced service capability – we’ve been large enough to manufacture significant label runs while small enough to be flexible and friendly.
Throughout the years we have enjoyed working in a close-knit team environment. It’s the kind of place where you get to know the intricacies of your customer’s business – then do your best to ensure it can display, communicate and represent their wares with the greatest possible quality.
In 2017 the bond made between Kiwi Labels and Mark-It Labels has been a win-win for all. The two companies retained all sales and production staff, all existing stock products carried on as before and no changes in product pricing occurred either.
Now more exciting developments are in the pipeline. We’re expanding our digital and flexo full colour print capabilities, will be introducing a full service VIP thermal print/ parts/ service/ ribbons/ bureau offer, new highly embellished labels.
While Mark-it Labels continues to trade from Wigram in Christchurch it is expected that operations will be combined on the current Kiwi Labels site at some stage in the near future. In the meantime we’re busy implementing new systems and printing new labels. We’ve rolled up our sleeves, and we’re getting stuck in.
At Kiwi Labels we not only protect your brand, we protect the environment too.Our vision embraces a future for everyone. Minimising our company’s impact on the environment is one of our key objectives. Our aim is to eliminate or, if not completely possible, reduce the effect of our processes have on our surroundings.
