About

The labels produced.
The bonds made.

In 1976 Kiwi Labels first began printing labels and we had one simple goal – to build a reputation for superior service and quality results. Since then we have been preparing, printing, applying and distributing first-rate labels throughout the country. With this history of great work and happy clients it’s safe to say we’ve achieved our goal.

From Heathcote, Ōtautahi, Christchurch, Kiwi Labels has dedicated professionals and an incredible knowledge base to draw from. The combined skill of our team, and their readiness to put in the extra thinking to work around any potential challenge, is a huge benefit for our customers. It is why we take pride in assisting not only label supply, but also in capital expenditure decisions, plant design and process control solutions, adding value to each and every label.

As one of New Zealand’s oldest label printing companies our continued focus on innovation and improvement has ensured new products and processes. Innovation and thinking outside of the box is in our DNA, we love a challenge.

We have one of the largest fleets of label printing and finishing equipment in New Zealand. If you had to describe us in one sentence, we would be a hybrid flexo and digital printing plant with some very unique embellishing and finishing equipment. We would be happy to go up against anyone on our speed to market offering, we also understand quality is a given, with some of the latest machinery available, we are confident we can meet and exceed your expectations.

We’re well-known for our highly embellished labels. We offer foiling, true highbuild, multiple varnish options, embossing and debossing, sculpted foil and a range of specialty coatings to ensure that your labels stand out.

Kiwi Labels also produces multipart or extended content labels (ECL) which are the perfect solution to the challenge of space on a label. We have a dedicated press to run KiwiECLs and a team to help with the design and technicalities of these labels that pop out or unfold. Adaptable to almost any container, they can be used to solve a variety of communication challenges.

Our innovative and sustainable KiwiCYCLE brand offers a range of sustainable label options. With our range continuously growing as new products are released by suppliers, Kiwi Labels stays a step ahead providing you with products to help reduce the impact of waste through the use of eco-friendly biodegradable and compostable label materials, FSC® and PEFC® materials and Wash-off technology that uses an innovative wash-off adhesive.

There are options that now look and feel the same as previously, commonly used papers, white, transparent or more natural looking papers. Along with papers that can be applied direct to food, resistant to oil and grease with adhesive that is certified for direct to food applications. Wood-free options and also the first wood-based PP film materials are also part of our KiwiCYCLE range.

The Wash-Off labels we offer are ideal for labelling PET containers as the special wash-off adhesive allows the labels to undergo common PET and rPET recycling processes without contaminating any of the PET flake by-products, helping to promote a circular economy.

Kiwi Labels also has Forestry Stewardship Council® (FSC®) chain of custody certification. FSC® sourced materials are from certified sustainably managed forests. Our FSC® certification qualifies us to promote responsible forest management and pass on the qualifications of FSC® certified label product from our suppliers to clients. We’d be lying if we said we didn’t like winning awards. But that’s because these serve to remind us of why we do what we do.
